(NYSE:CLS, TSX:CLS/SV), a world\nleader in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), today announced that it\nhas acquired Displaytronix, a leader in flat-panel display repair services.\nDisplaytronix serves the LCD and plasma flat-panel display market by\nproviding repair services for high-value flat-panel display devices such as\nnotebook computers, flat-panel monitors, high-definition televisions,\nhandhelds and other consumer devices. The company has strong customer\nrelationships and qualification certifications with leading original equipment\nmanufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODMs). This\nacquisition will enable Celestica to expand its service offerings in the\nrapidly growing flat-panel display market.\nDisplaytronix provides in-and-out-of-warranty support to both OEMs and\nODMs and has the capability to deliver high yields. The company's expertise\nincludes the repair, recovery and replacement of backlights and inverters;\ntape automated bonding (TAB); anisotropic-conductive film (ACF); and polarizer\nreplacement.
