This shareholder package\nprovides detailed information about your Company's business activities and\nfinancial performance.\nOver the last six years, CCL has completed 25 acquisition and divestiture\ntransactions totaling over $800 million. These activities helped to reposition\nthe Company as a major global player focused on specialty packaging. We have\nbeen continuously reviewing further strategic acquisition possibilities, but\nit has now been over six months since our last transaction, the successful\npurchase of Prodesmaq's label business in Brazil. This unplanned break from\nthese types of business deals has provided time for management to digest the\nnew companies and to reorganize operations in anticipation of organic growth\nand international acquisition opportunities expected in the years ahead.\nYour Board of Directors is pleased to approve the next quarterly dividend\npayable on September 29, 2006. This dividend is supported by the strong cash\nflow and earnings growth of your Company and by the relatively conservative\nfinancial leverage of the business. This dividend is a continuation of CCL's\nrecord of paying consecutive quarterly dividends for over 25 years without a\nreduction. The dividend is $0.11 per Class B non-voting share and $0.0975 per\nClass A voting share.\nConference calls with our stakeholders are held following the release of\nour quarterly results and when significant events require additional\ncommunication.
