(NYSE: CAT / NYSE Euronext: CATR / LSE: CAT) today filed its definitive proxy statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (\"SEC\") to inform its stockholders that it is holding its 2013 Annual Meeting of Stockholders on June 12, 2013 at the Proximity Hotel, 704 Green Valley Road, Greensboro, NC 27408 beginning at 8:00 a.m. The items of business are:\n1. Elect as Directors the fifteen nominees identified in the proxy statement, each for a term on one year.\n2. Ratify the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as Caterpillar's independent registered public account firm for 2013.\n3. Approve, on a non-binding advisory basis, executive compensation.\n4. Vote on six stockholder proposals described in the proxy statement, if properly presented at the meeting.\n5. Conduct any other business properly brought before the meeting or any adjournment or postponement of the meeting.\nStockholders of record at the close of business on April 15, 2013 will be entitled to notice of and to vote at the annual meeting and any adjournment or postponement. Anyone wishing to attend the annual meeting in person must have an admission ticket issued in his or her name.
