[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nABBOTSFORD, BC, April 16 /CNW/ - ICS Copper Systems Ltd (The company or\nICS), (ICX:TSX.V) is pleased to announce that Mr. Richard Molyneux, BSc(Hons)\nGeo, PrNatSc(RSA), joined the Board of Directors of ICS Copper Systems Ltd\neffective April 11 2008. Mr. Molyneux's valuable experience in various types\nof heavy mineral and geochemical sampling, photo-geological interpretation,\nexploratory drilling, geophysical surveys, various sample treatment\nmethodologies, as well as supervisory experience running exploration projects\nin an African environment will be of great assistance to ICS. As ICS\nprogresses towards development of its sulphide deposits, Mr. Molyneux's\nknowledge of underground mine design and non-explosive rock breaking will be\nmost welcome.\n\n\nMr. Molyneux is currently consulting in the diamond industry and serving\non various boards of Directors.\n\n\nHighlights of Mr. Molyneux's career include the following:\n\n - Secured a scholarship from Anglo American Corporation to study at\n the University of Cape Town where he attained a BSc (Hons) degree\n in Geology.\n\n - Joined De Beers Consolidated Mines in 1971. He subsequently worked\n in the Anglo American head office from 1973 to 1974 and conducted\n exploration in the field in Swaziland and the Northern Transvaal\n where he carried out the field work leading to the discovery of\n the Venetia Diamond Mine.\n\n - Appointed Resident Geologist at Premier Diamond Mine in 1976 and\n worked there until 1983 where he was actively involved in the\n planning and execution of a new mining operation below the major\n gabbro sill intersecting the Premier pipe.\n\n - Appointed Chief Geologist of Namaqualand Mines being responsible\n for the exploration and ore reserve management activities in\n marine and alluvial deposits over several hundred kilometres of\n coastline.\n\n - Appointed General Manager in March 1995 of Namaqualand Mines. This\n position included overall responsibility for the mining carried\n out in four plant complexes treating over 6.0 million tons of ore\n annually, with a work force of approximately 2,000. As the mining\n operations were in a remote area, De Beers maintained two towns\n providing educational, medical, shopping, transport and\n recreational facilities all of which were covered by the duties of\n Richard as General Manager.\n\n - T...
