[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\nABBOTSFORD, BC, Aug. 4, 2011 /CNW/ - Nubian Resources Ltd (TSX.V:NBR) is\n pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Christopher J V Wheatley,\n Economic Geologist, to the Board in the capacity of Non Executive\n Director.\n\n\nChris Wheatley obtained his doctorate from Imperial College London and\n was subsequently awarded the Edgar Pam Fellowship and William\n Frechville Prize from the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy in London.\n He has peer reviewed many technical papers and has filed numerous NI\n 43-101 reports in base metals, precious metals, industrial minerals and\n iron ore. Dr Wheatley brings to Nubian Resources a wealth of\n exploration experience, his career spanning more than 40 years in\n Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, having spent 20 years\n with the Billiton-Shell Group in various exploration management\n positions and managed exploration for the Saudi Arabian Mining Company\n (Ma'aden).\n\n\nDr. Wheatley will join Nubian's Technical Committee, presently chaired\n by metallurgist Mr. Larry Treadgold,BSc (Hons),and will be able to\n provide expert opinions on various properties held by Nubian, including\n Excelsior; the company's advanced exploration gold property in Nevada.\n\n\nStock Options Granted\n\n\nThe company has granted 50,000 options to Dr. Wheatley at an exercise\n price of $0.50 for a period of 10 years from the date of issuance.
