NWT expands uranium discovery zone at North Rae, Quebec

(TSX-V: NWT; OTCBB: NWURF) is\npleased to announce additional assay results from rock grab samples collected\nduring ground evaluation work at the North Rae Uranium Project under option\nfrom Azimut Exploration Inc. in the Ungava Bay region of Quebec, Canada.\nResults provide further support for NWT's exploration model, which focuses on\na large, near-surface uranium deposit that has the potential to be recovered\nusing low-cost bulk mining methods.\n\n\n"This latest set of results adds important value to our understanding of\nthe widespread uranium mineralization at North Rae and underscores the area's\npotential to host Canada's newest uranium district," said Marek J. Kreczmer,\nPresident and CEO of NWT Uranium. "We are extremely pleased to see that our\nQuebec rock sample results continue to fall in the range of known uranium\ndeposits in Namibia. At North Rae, we are targeting this same type of\nhigh-tonnage, near-surface uranium deposit, which has the potential to be\nrecovered through open-pit mining."\n\n\nResults\n\n\nAssay results from 334 widely spaced surface rock grab samples collected\nat the Jonas, Aqpiq, Rae-1 (Amittujaq), 46, Tasik, Tasialuk, Ilaluga and\nTorrent zones as well as adjacent areas reveal values of up to 3.3% U(3)O(8).\nOf these 334 samples, a total of 233 returned values over 0.01% U(3)O(8),\nincluding 116 with values over 0.05% U(3)O(8) and 66 samples with values over\n0.1% U(3)O(8). Samples are widely spaced, which underscores the regional\nnature of the mineralized system underlying North Rae.\n\n\nAssay results from the Jonas zone show 25 of 54 samples with values over\n0.05% U(3)O(8), including one sample that returned 3.3% U(3)O(8) (28,000 ppm\nuranium). The 25 samples were collected from an area measuring 2,296 x\n721 feet (700 x 220 meters).\n\n\nAt Aqpiq, 43 of 48 samples reveal uranium values over 0.05% U(3)O(8),\nincluding three samples that returned 1.74%, 1.20% and 1.07% U(3)O(8)\nrespectively. The three samples that returned values over 1.0% U(3)O(8) were\ncollected from two different areas located 984 feet (300 meters) apart.
