(TSX-V: NWT; OTCBB: NWURF) is\npleased to provide an update for its shareholders regarding the exploration\nactivities of Niger Uranium Limited, of which NWT is the largest shareholder\nwith a 32% ownership position.\n\n\nIn a press release dated April 17, 2008, Niger Uranium revealed initial\ndownhole radiometric logging results for the Phase 1 drilling program at In\nGall. Of note, drilling at target 17 has delineated a 16,400-foot by\n2,950-foot (5,000-meter by 900-meter) near-surface uranium-mineralized layer,\nwhich remains open to the west. Radiometric probe data shows the layer has an\naverage thickness of 3.9 feet (1.2 meters) and a grade of 122 parts per\nmillion (ppm) equivalent U(3)O(8) (eU(3)O(8)) based upon data from\n32 boreholes drilled on a 820-by-1,300 foot (250-by-400 meter) grid.\n\n\nThe probe data indicates the grade and thickness of the layer is\nconsistent, with 32 intersections returning values ranging from 63 ppm\neU(3)O(8) over 2.2 feet (0.7 meters) to 177 ppm eU(3)O(8) over 5.9 feet\n(1.8 meters). Results of x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis on samples from the\nsame boreholes indicate higher grades of up to 238 U(3)O(8) over 6.5 feet\n(2.0 meters). Historical data suggests the zone extends over 9.3 miles\n(15 kilometers) to the west of the area drilled to date, highlighting the\npotential for what Niger Uranium classifies as a "considerable open-pittable\nresource."\n\n\nThe Phase 1 drill program commenced in January 2008 with an expected\n32,800 feet (10,000 meters) planned and 13,450 feet (4,100 meters) completed\nto date. Drilling has focused on the above-mentioned target 17, where a\nmineralized layer measuring 2,952 feet (900 meters) wide, with a minimum\nstrike length of 16,404 feet (5,000 meters) and potential for significant\nexpansion extension to the west, has been identified. Niger Uranium plans to\ncomplete several step-out fence lines to extend the currently delineated\nmineralized area.\n\n\nIn late April, Niger Uranium expects to commence drilling to follow up on\nsurface grab samples within the In Gall and Irhazer Licenses, which returned\nup to 0.98% U(3)O(8) as reported on January 29, 2008. Producing mines and\ndeposits in Niger typically grade from 0.1% to 0.42% U(3)O(8), with the\nhighest grades being mined at greater de...
