James Sardo has been\nnamed Chairman of the SonnenEnergy Board of Directors. Mr. Sardo succeeds Jeff\nDennis, who will continue as director of SonnenEnergy and in his role as\nSonnenEnergy's President and Chief Executive Officer.\n\n\nMr. Sardo is a corporate director and was interim CEO of Royal Group\nTechnologies Limited from 2004 to 2005, President of the Canadian Operations\nof Moore Corporation Limited, a business forms and communications company,\nfrom 1999 to 2001 and President and CEO of SMK Speedy International Inc., an\ninternational automotive repair company, from 1997 to 1999. Prior to 1997 Mr.\nSardo was Chief Executive Officer of Amre Inc., a Dallas based marketer of\nhome improvement products from 1994 to 1995 and Chief Executive Officer of SNE\nInc., a manufacturer and marketer of windows and doors from 1991 to 1994. Mr.\nSardo is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and a graduate of\nthe Directors Education Program. Mr. Sardo has been a director of SonnenEnergy\nsince 2007 and is also a director of New Flyer Inc., Hydrogenics Corporation\nand Northstar Healthcare Inc.\n\n\nSonnenEnergy also announces that it has granted additional incentive\nstock options to its officers and directors to acquire an aggregate of\n1,500,000 common shares of SonnenEnergy at a price of $0.10 per share; each\noption is exercisable at any time until October 27, 2013 subject to certain\nvesting requirements.\n\n\nAbout SonnenEnergy\n\n\nSonnenEnergy is a solar power systems integrator and solar power\nproducer. The company markets, sells, designs, installs, operates, and\nmaintains grid-connected solar power systems and, since 2004, has installed\nmore than 160 photovoltaic (PV) solar power systems for commercial and\nresidential customers.
