(TSX: CS) today\n announced the appointment of Juan Carlos Alfaro as General Manager of\n Capstone's 70% owned Chilean operating subsidiary, with responsibility\n for the development of Capstone's Santo Domingo Iron Oxide-Copper-Gold\n (\"IOCG\") project (\"Santo Domingo\" or the \"Project\") in Region III,\n Chile.  The Project is owned 70% by Capstone and 30% by Korea Resources\n Corporation (\"KORES\").\n\n\nCapstone also announced the awarding of the contract for the Santo\n Domingo Environmental Impact Study (\"EIS\") to Knight Piésold S.A.\n (\"Knight Piésold\"), to be led by its Santiago office.  They will also\n coordinate the evaluation process through to permitting.\n\n\n\"We are very fortunate to have an executive of Juan Carlos' experience\n join us to oversee our operations in Chile,\" said Darren Pylot,\n President and CEO of Capstone.  \"He is well known in Chile and in the\n area of the Santo Domingo Project, having spent much of his career in\n the mining industry in Chile and more specifically in Region III, with\n projects owned by Barrick, Kinross, Placer Dome, Minera Mantos de Oro\n and Codelco.  We expect to advance the project rapidly under his\n leadership.\"\n\n\n\"In addition, Knight Piésold has the EIS well underway and is on track\n to submit the permit applications to the Chilean regulatory authorities\n in the fourth quarter of 2012, in accordance with the schedule\n contemplated in the Pre-Feasibility Study,\" continued Mr. Pylot.  \"In\n addition, geotechnical drilling required for the Feasibility Study has\n commenced and an infill drilling program is expected to be underway\n shortly.\"\n\n\nJuan Carlos Alfaro\n\n\nMr. Alfaro is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in\n Chile's mining industry, with previous management responsibilities at\n projects and operations owned by Barrick Gold, Kinross Gold, Placer\n Dome and Exxon Minerals.\n\n\nMost recently Mr. Alfaro was General Manager of the Cerro Casale Project\n (Barrick/Kinross JV), one of the world...
