[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\nTSXV Symbol: CYF\n\n\nEDMONTON, Dec. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Canyon Creek Food Company Ltd., (\"Canyon\n Creek\") listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Inc. under the trading\n symbol \"CYF\" is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new\n supply agreement with Equilibrium Foods.  Equilibrium Foods, which is\n already a customer of Canyon Creek, markets its food products in Canada\n under the \"Janet & Greta\" brand. Janet & Greta Podleski are the authors\n of several best-selling cookbooks, and are the hosts of the Eat, Shrink\n & Be Merry television series, seen across the country on The Food\n Network Canada.\n\n\nUnder this new agreement, Canyon Creek, will supply fresh refrigerated\n soup to Equilibrium Foods which will in turn distribute these products\n across Western Canada through Wal-Mart. Terry Alty, the President and\n CEO of Canyon Creek notes that: \"the broadening of this relationship continues to allow us to benefit\n from the brand celebrity status of Janet & Greta and also provides us\n with another major retail sales outlet for our products.\"  This is a significant milestone. Wal-Mart has grown to become the 4th largest company in Canada, and is the largest participant in the retail\n sector, with Canadian generated revenues exceeding $22 billion per\n year.  Wal-Mart is continuing to build its presence in the fresh\n refrigerated food category.
