Cantex Mine Development Corp. - Update on drilling at the Al Hariqah gold deposit, Yemen

About this update from Cantex Mine Development Corp.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nLOWNA, BC, March 20 /CNW/ - Cantex Mine Development Corp (CD - TSX\nVenture Exchange) (\"Cantex\" or the \"Company\").\nTwenty-seven percussion holes have now been completed out of the planned\n45 holes at the Al Hariqah gold project in Yemen. As previously reported the\ngold mineralization at Al Hariqah occurs along a four kilometer long zone and\nprevious drilling in 1999 and 2000 was restricted to the northernmost\n1100 meters. Drilling of the remaining 18 holes is currently in progress. The\n45 drill holes reported above are designed to provide further information\nwithin the previously drilled area as well as subsurface information over a\nstrike length of 2340 meters of the deposit.\nGold results, as determined by fire assay at ALS Chemex, an ISO 9001:2000\naccredited laboratory in Vancouver, have now been received for an additional\ntwo holes of this new program. The best intersection from the first hole,\nPDH 04, is 2.60 g/t over 13.5 meters from 39 meters to the end of hole at\n52.5 meters. The second hole, PDH 22, contains an intersection of 12.15 g/t\nover 7.5 meters from 3 meters depth and another mineralized intersection of\n2.18 g/t over 19.5 meters from 28.5 meters depth.\nPDH 04 was drilled at a dip of -63 degrees to 52.5 meters depth while\nPDH 22 was drilled vertical to a depth of 75 meters. Hole PDH 04 was\nterminated at a shallower depth than planned due to drilling difficulties.\nBoth holes are 90 mm in diameter, and were drilled using the Company's reverse\ncirculation percussion drill. Sampling and logging of the drill holes was\ncarried out by Cantex's geologists on site in Yemen.\nAt ALS Chemex gold content for all samples is first determined using a\nfire assay with an AAS finish (Au-AA24). Any samples with gold contents in\nexcess of 10 g/t are then re-assayed using a fire assay with a gravimetric\nfinish (Au-GRA22).\n\nThis press release has been prepared by Dr. Peter Gregory, a Qualified\nPerson.\n\nSigned,\n\nChad Ulansky\n\nChad Ulansky\nPresident and Geologist\n\nThe TSX Venture Exchange does not accept responsibility for the adequacy\nor accuracy of this release.\n\n%SEDAR: 00010333E\n\n\n","length":2192,"tagName":"div"}]
