KELOWNA, BC, Aug. 18, 2011 /CNW/ - Cantex Mine Development Corp. (TSXV : CD) (the "Company", "Cantex") is pleased to announce the successful completion of its field exploration program in the Yukon.
Cantex has now completed its field program which consisted of the collection of samples testing both the Company's claim blocks as well as 2,315 heavy mineral samples testing an area of 30,000 km2 underlain by unstaked geology favorable for hosting gold mineralization.
Detailed geochemical sampling was undertaken on the Company's claim block which is adjacent to and along strike from Atac Resources' recent Osiris discovery which hosts Carlin style gold mineralization. 118 talus samples were collected along with 6 heavy mineral samples.
The Company's other claim group which covers an arsenic anomaly 15km southeast of Atac's Rau gold discovery was tested with 4 heavy mineral samples.
All of the samples have now arrived at the C.F. Mineral Research Ltd laboratory in Kelowna, BC for concentration and preparation for analysis. Orientation samples collected for the survey have already been heavy mineral concentrated and submitted to the ALS Chemex laboratory in Vancouver for gold and key path finder element analysis.
The technical information and results reported here have been reviewed by Mr. Chad Ulansky P.Geol., a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101, who is responsible for the technical content of this release.
