[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nKELOWNA, BC, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - Cantex Mine Development Corp (CD - TSX\nVenture Exchange) ("Cantex" or the "Company").\n\n\nThe Company is pleased to report that it has completed its drill program\nat Wadi Qutabah and commenced drill testing the Suwar nickel-copper-cobalt\ndeposit in its 100% owned exploration license in Yemen.\n\n\nWadi Qutabah Nickel-Copper-Cobalt and Platinum Group Elements Project\n\n\nThe commencement of the drill program at Suwar follows the completion of\nthe eleven hole program at Wadi Qutabah.\n\n\nPrevious work at Wadi Qutabah identified 5 flat lying horizons of massive\nand disseminated sulphide mineralization that outcrop over an area of up to\n15 square kilometers. Massive sulphides are seen in outcrop within three of\nthe horizons and vary from 0.2 to 3.0 meters in thickness.\n\n\nTo test the continuity of the flat lying sulphide horizons five vertical\nholes totaling 685.84 meters were drilled. These five holes intersected a\ntotal of 323.80 meters of weak ((less than)10%) disseminated sulphides,\n20.08 meters of moderate (10-50%) sulphide mineralization and 6.80 meters of\nsemi massive to massive sulphide mineralization. These mineralized sections\nwill be analyzed for nickel-copper-cobalt and platinum group elements. Cantex\ngeologists are pleased with the extent and continuity of the sulphide\nmineralization.\n\n\nSix additional holes were drilled to identify the source of the high\nplatinum group element values found in three heavy mineral stream samples. The\nhighly anomalous samples were from three adjacent streams draining a\nrestricted portion of the Wadi Qutabah area. The six holes were designed to\ntest the stratigraphy of the watershed of the anomalous streams. Several\nsulphide rich zones were intersected and these will be analyzed to identify\nanomalous platinum group element horizons.\n\n\nSuwar Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project\n\n\nDr. Peter Gregory recently visited the Suwar project and after a thorough\nreview of the previous work designed a 17 hole 1920 meter drill program. To\ndate two holes have been drilled on Suwar Hill with the Company's diamond\ndrill rig. These two holes are designed to test the continuity of\nmineralization within a previously untested fifty meter section of Suwar Hill.\n\n\nThe first hole, Y007-02, was drilled at an inclination of 4...
