(TSX: ICE), \nindustry-leading providers of recreational sports and entertainment facilities \nacross North America, today announced it is expanding its portfolio with the \nacquisition of the Lake Barrington Field House; a 175,000 square foot indoor \nsports complex located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The transaction is \nscheduled to close on or before January 31, 2015. \n\"We are extremely pleased with the opportunity to purchase this \nmagnificent sports facility, which aligns nicely with our strategy of expansion \nto complement our core ice facilities with 'non-ice' sports and recreation. This \nis yet another significant milestone for Canlan in the Chicagoland area, further \ndemonstrating our commitment to this wonderful community\", stated Joey St-Aubin, \nPresident & CEO. \"We've done so well serving the community with our Canlan \nIce Sports Romeoville facility; we felt it made good sense to complement this \nlocation by expansion allowing us to continue to provide the best sports and \nrecreational experiences for the residents of the Chicagoland area.\" \nThe Lake Barrington Fieldhouse was constructed in 2008 and sits \non a 10-acre site. The facility includes an 85,000 square foot full FIFA indoor \n'field turf' field, lined for soccer, football, lacrosse and baseball and has a \nrunning/walking track around the perimeter of the field. The field has the \nflexibility to transition into two baseball infields or up to three separate \nturf fields. It can also accommodate indoor football, complete with end-zone \ngoal posts. Two double gymnasiums with a total of 40,000 square feet of solid \nmaple 'floating' floor accommodates four full sized basketball or eight \nvolleyball courts. The facility also features a food and beverage concession, \nstrength & conditioning area and retail/commercial tenant spaces. \n\"It will be business as usual for current customers, with an \nadditional focus being undertaken by our marketing team to attract new customers \nin the surrounding areas\", added Mr. St-...
