Canfor sells Valemount sawmill

VANCOUVER, May 6 /CNW/ - Canfor Corporation (TSX:CFP) announces that it
has entered into an agreement with Northwest Specialty Lumber to sell the
Valemount sawmill and associated tenure for $3,000,000 plus the value of
inventory. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is
expected to close before the end of May 2005.
