(CGM - TSX Venture), (\"California Gold\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to announce new assay results from the Company's recently concluded Phase I drill program at its flagship Fremont Project (the \"Project\") in Mariposa County, California. These latest assays are further evidence of the presence of a large high-grade gold mineralized zone at the Project starting right at surface and extending down to a depth of several hundred metres.\nAll six holes from the Phase I drill program that have been discussed by the Company (including this press release) have intersected the Pine Tree-Josephine mineralized package. The Company believes that the large widths of the mineralized intersections, and the high overall grades encountered in the mineralized zones present a compelling case for the Project to be evaluated as a bulk mining operation going forward.\nThe relatively lower overall grades in drill hole DD-13-09 are primarily due to the fact that the hole encountered several historic stopes that had previously been mined out.
