[{"type":"text","content":"\n Calyx Group PLC\n27 July 2006\n\n\nFor immediate release 27 July 2006\n\n\n\n Calyx Group PLC\n\n ('Calyx' or 'the Company')\n\n\n Appointment of Chief Financial Officer\n\n\nCalyx, the largest single-source provider of information and communication\ntechnology ('ICT') network solutions throughout Ireland, and who recently\nannounced the acquisition of the Matrix Companies for up to £40.5 million, is\ntoday pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Lewis Jenkins ('Peter') as\nChief Financial Officer ('CFO') and main board director of the Company. This\nappointment will be effective from 21 August 2006.\n\n\nPeter (48) co-founded Numerica Group plc as Group Finance Director in 2001 and\nwas Chief Executive Officer from March 2004 to June 2005, at which time the\ngroup was acquired by Vantis plc. Prior to joining Calyx Peter has been Interim\nChief Financial Officer of Fujin Technology plc (formerly known as Matrix\nCommunications Group plc) He is currently a director of Demyst Limited and was a\ndirector of VoxIQ Limited.\n\n\nPeter qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 and following seven years\nworking in accountancy firms (Neville Russell and Coopers & Lybrand) he moved\ninto industry and commerce. He has held senior financial positions at Lex\nService plc, Coca-Cola & Schweppes Beverages Ltd and Harrisons & Crosfield plc.\nHe was also Group Finance Director of Regus plc from 1998 - 2000.\n\n\nPeter has been a Council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in\nEngland and Wales since 2003 and he was a member of its Audit Committee from\n2003 to 2005.
