[{"type":"text","content":"\n Calyx Group PLC\n19 January 2006\n\n\n\nFor Immediate Release 19 January 2006\n\n Calyx Group plc\n ('Calyx' or 'the Company')\n\n Calyx Signs Supplier Agreement with BT\n\nCalyx, the largest single-source provider of information and communication\ntechnology ('ICT') network solutions throughout Ireland, is today pleased to\nannounce the signing of a supplier agreement with BT Ireland ('BT'), the wholly\nowned subsidiary of BT Group plc one of the world's leading providers of\ncommunications solutions.\n\nUnder the terms of the agreement Calyx and BT will provide an ICT solution to\nsmall and medium enterprises ('SME') across Ireland. The solution, called\nExchange, is the only office communications solution of its kind in Ireland that\nbundles the communications requirements of SMEs into one package for a fixed\nmonthly price. The new service includes a VoIP enabled-telephone system;\nhandsets; broadband and/or ISDN access; line rental; voice service; software\nupdates and a comprehensive technical support and maintenance agreement.\n\nThe agreement between Calyx and BT expands on the already existing business\nrelationship between the two companies and will result in a joint marketing\ndrive to business customers. Under the terms of the agreement BT will provide\nthe SME customers with connectivity whilst Calyx will install the communication\nsystems and maintain it for at least three years.\n\nThe advantages of outsourcing a complete communication solution through one\nsupplier allows small and medium businesses in Ireland to identify better cost\nmanagement including greater transparency of telecom charges, and allows\nbusinesses to concentrate on their core business.\n\nMaurice Healy, Chief Executive of Calyx commented;\n\n'We are very pleased that BT has decided to partner us on this new ICT solution.\nThe growing SME market in Ireland has highlighted the need for a focused yet\ninnovative information and communication solution which also allows them to keep\na simple monthly control on charges.
