[{"type":"text","content":"\n Calyx Group PLC\n29 June 2006\n\n\nFor Immediate Release 29 June 2006\n\n\n Calyx Group PLC\n ('Calyx' or 'the Company')\n\n Appointment of Non-Executive Directors\n\n\nCalyx, the largest single-source provider of information and communication\ntechnology ('ICT') network solutions throughout Ireland, and who recently\nannounced the acquisition of the Matrix Companies for up to £40.5 million, is\ntoday pleased to announce the appointments of Paul ('Gary') Kennedy and Nicholas\nKoumarianos as Non-Executive Directors of the Company. These appointments will\nbe effective from 1 July 2006.\n\nMr Kennedy (48) has previously been working as Group Director Finance with\nAllied Irish Banks Plc ('AIB'). Whilst at AIB Gary helped evolve AIB's US\nstrategy, and had responsibility for Poland at a time when the bank bought Bank\nZachnodi for €600 million. Prior to this he has also worked for Nortel Networks\nInc as Group Vice President of Enterprise Networks Europe and Managing Director\nof Nortel (Ireland) Limited.\n\nMr Kennedy's current directorships include; Gary Kennedy & Associates Limited,\nData Voice International Limited, Elan Corporation and Galway University\nFoundation. In the past five years his directorships have also included; AIB\nEuropean Investments Limited, Allfirst Financial Inc, Allied Irish Banks\nPensions Limited, Bank Zachnodi s.a., Bank Zachnodi WBK s.a., M&T Bank\nCorporation, Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company, and IDA Ireland\n\nMr Koumarianos (62) is currently the Chairman of Soft-ex Limited, a Director of\nAthena Management Services Limited and Chairman of Dome Telecom Limited.
