[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n \n 21 July 2022\n \n \n \n \n Vela Technologies plc\n \n \n \n \n (\"Vela\" or \"the Company\")\n \n \n \n \n Appointment of Non-Executive Director\n \n \n \n The Board of Vela Technologies (AIM: VELA) announces the appointment of Antony Laiker as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.\n \n \n Antony Laiker served as an Executive Director of the Company from 2013 to 2020. Currently, in addition to roles as an investor and director / advisor to a number of early stage companies, he is a stockbroker at First Equity Limited.\n \n \n The Company intends to strengthen the Board further through the appointment of an additional independent Non-Executive Director to the Board in due course.\n \n \n Brent Fitzpatrick, Non-Executive Chairman of Vela, commented:\n \n \n \"\n We welcome Antony back to the board in a non-executive capacity. Antony is a significant shareholder in Vela and has extensive experience of the small-cap marketplace. We look forward to drawing upon this experience again as the Company seeks to build and manage its investment portfolio.
