[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n \n24 August 2023\n \nReleased via Form 6-K on August 24, 2023 and queued for release via RNS upon its reopening on August 25, 2023.\n \n \nUS SEC CLOSES COMMENT LETTER REVIEW\n \nBurford Capital Limited (\"Burford\"), the leading global finance and asset management firm focused on law, today provides an update on the comment letter review by the staff of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (the \"SEC\").\n \nAs previously disclosed in our annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2022 and in our quarterly report furnished on Form 6-K for the three months ended March 31, 2023, the SEC staff issued comment letters with respect to its review of our annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2021 filed with the SEC on March 29, 2022 relating to, among other things, our approach to fair value accounting for our capital provision assets in consideration of ASC 820.\n \nFollowing our engagement and correspondence with the SEC staff, we are pleased to report that on August 24, 2023 the SEC staff confirmed that they have completed their review with no further comments.
