[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Aug. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Brixton Metals Corporation (TSXV: BBB)\n (the \"Company\" or \"Brixton\") is pleased to announce that it has completed its phase one\n exploration program at its 100 percent owned Thorn project.  Brixton\n also reports that the recently announced financings were fully\n subscribed and are now closed.\n\n\nBrixton completed 28 drill holes for a total of 4,617 metres of NQ sized\n core diamond drilling, collected 1,264 soil samples, 7 rock grab\n samples and undertook structural geological mapping. Drilling was\n focused on the Oban diatreme-breccia zone. The soil sampling was\n conducted in the Oban-Camp Creek, Outlaw, Amarillo and the West La\n Jaune areas. The structural geology work covered an area of 8 km x 3 km\n within the southern portion of the property.  All core samples have now\n been submitted to ALS Minerals for analysis and will be released upon\n receipt and QAQC review.\n\n\nChairman and CEO of Brixton, Gary Thompson stated \"This phase of\n exploration was successful in reducing drilling exploration costs from\n $400 per metre to $300 per metre on an all in cost basis, leaving\n Brixton with a healthy treasury of approximately $1.2M going into the\n fall season. An extended thank you goes out to all of our contractors\n and service providers who made this possible.\" Mr. Thompson further\n added \"The drilling was successful in identifying new zones of\n mineralization in the Oban area ranging up to 250 metres from the\n discovery hole 60.  Results are pending. The soils were effective in\n identifying new soil anomalies from previously untested ground with a\n high of 207 g/t Ag located southeast of Oban and 13.5 g/t Au located\n northeast of the Oban zone. The structural work has increased our\n understanding substantially, showing an abundance of fault networks\n that provide new targets for future drilling\".
