VANCOUVER, BC / TheNewswire / October 2, 2018 - BQE Water Inc. (TSX-V : BQE), a leader in the treatment and management of mine impacted waters, will host its Annual General and Special Meeting for shareholders as noted below. The Management Information Circular outlining the meeting resolutions and Director Nominees will be mailed to all shareholders of record as of October 16, 2018.
At the Annual General and Special Meeting for shareholders, the Board of Directors are seeking shareholder approval for the consolidation of the issued and outstanding Common Shares (the "Share Consolidation") on the basis of one post-consolidation Common Share for each 100 pre-consolidation Common Shares. If the proposed Share Consolidation is implemented, the number of Common Shares issued and outstanding will be reduced from approximately 93,966,672 (as of the date hereof) to approximately 939,667. The Board of Directors believes the Share Consolidation will provide a capital structure that will better attract equity financing and enhance future growth opportunities.
Completion of the Share Consolidation is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
