Renewal of Prospecting Licenses in Botswana

The board of Botswana Diamonds plc ("BOD" or "The Company") is pleased to announce that its Prospecting Licenses 224/2007 and 169/2019 have been renewed for two years until 31^st December 2026 by the Minister of Minerals and Energy in Botswana.  These licenses include the KX36 discovery, as well as several high-grade geophysical anomalies where authorisation has been granted for drilling.

KX36 is a 3.5 Ha kimberlite pipe with an indicated resource of 17.9Mt of 35 carats per hundred tonnes ("cpht") and 6.7Mt at 36 cpht (inferred) at $65/ct. The new kimberlites targets have potential to upgrade this resource.

This release has been approved by James Campbell, Managing Director of Botswana Diamonds plc, a qualified geologist (Pr.Sci.Nat), a Fellow of the Geological Society of South Africa, a Fellow of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Metals and Mining (UK) and with over 38-years' experience in the diamond sector.
