[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\nCALGARY, June 29, 2013 /CNW/ - Boardwalk Real Estate Investment Trust (\"BEI.UN\" - TSX)\n\n\nBoardwalk Rental Communities (\"Boardwalk\", \"The Trust\") would like to\n take this opportunity to thank all of the leaders and emergency\n response personnel from the Federal, Provincial and Municipal\n Governments who have worked tirelessly over the last week to promptly\n respond to the flooding in Calgary and Southern Alberta.\n\n\nThe coordinated response from all three levels of Government was\n unprecedented and ensured that the emergency response and the current\n recovery process have been efficient.  Boardwalk was able to have the\n majority of its Residents back home within a short period of time after\n the water receded as a result of these efforts.  The Residents of\n Boardwalk's Communities have praised all of the Emergency Response\n Teams for keeping them informed throughout the disaster while\n Boardwalk's Associates have partnered with many Emergency Response\n Personnel to return its Residents home as quickly as possible.\n\n\nSam Kolias, CEO and Chairman of Boardwalk REIT said, \"The management of\n this disaster by all three levels of Government has been remarkable. \n All of the response personnel from the Federal, Provincial and\n Municipal offices deserve a standing ovation.\"\n\n\nRob Geremia, President of Boardwalk REIT said, \"In addition, the\n response from all of the Non-Profit Organizations and Volunteers has\n been inspirational.  We continue to hear about selfless acts of\n generosity from many who have been affected by the flooding.\"\n\n\nThe City of Calgary's recovery has begun and Boardwalk is committed to\n continuing its efforts to work with all those making a difference to\n restore Calgary .  Boardwalk will be matching all of its Associates\n donations to the Red Cross and The Samaritan's Purse as well has been\n encouraging all of its Calgary Associates to volunteer in the recovery\n efforts.\n\n\nSam Kolias added: \"The support for our Community has been overwhelming. \n Everyone from our three levels of Government, to the Military\n Personnel, to the first responders, to the Non Profit Organizations, to\n our Residents and Associates, to the volunteers in Calgary and everyone\n in between: Thank you for making Calgary an even better place to call\n home.\...
