(TSX-V: BLM)\n is pleased to announce it now has an office in Barrie, Ontario, to\n service the environmental demands of The City of Barrie and Simcoe\n County, one of the fastest growing regions in Ontario.\n\n\nIn June, BluMetric bought the business and hired the employees of\n Vicinia Corporation, a Barrie-based environmental health and safety\n company owned by Christopher Hauschild, with several employees and\n ongoing contracts with both government and industry clients;  this will\n now constitute the Barrie BluMetric office.   In the past, Vicinia has\n worked jointly with BluMetric on professional service contracts as well\n as wastewater treatment plants in Simcoe County and Muskoka District.\n\n\nThe Barrie BluMetric office will continue to provide existing services,\n such as:\n\n\nenvironment, health and safety management\n\n\nhazardous material management\n\n\nworkplace audits and inspections\n\n\nenvironment, health and safety training.\n\n\nIn addition to the services outlined above, Barrie's BluMetric team will\n offer the following, working closely with BluMetric's Kitchener and\n Toronto sites:\n\n\nhydrogeology and hydrology\n\n\nenvironmental site assessments\n\n\nengineering rehabilitation and design\n\n\nsolid, liquid, hazardous and biomedical waste management\n\n\nrenewable energy\n\n\nwaterpower and hydraulic structures\n\n\nindustrial hygiene, occupational health and safety\n\n\ngeomatics and data management.\n\n\nChristopher Hauschild, now office manager for the new BluMetric Barrie\n location, said, \"I jumped at the opportunity to work with this dynamic\n group of people so that we can introduce a new range of expertise and\n services to our loyal and well-established client base.  BluMetric has\n a unique attitude toward service delivery - it is large enough to bring\n comprehensive services to clients, yet it remains innovative and is\n able to bring leading-edge approaches and technologies to fruition.
