Bloomsbury Publishing PLC 13 January 2000 BLOOMSBURY PUBLISHING PLC ('the Company') DEALINGS BY DIRECTORS The Company was informed on 12 January 2000 that Mr A V Wherry, a director of the Company, sold 2,250 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') at £7.80 per Ordinary Share on 12 January 2000. Following this transaction, Mr Wherry has a beneficial interest in 9,818 Ordinary Shares, which represents 0.07 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
