Mr Wilson is the Head of\nFinancial Institutions at Barclays Bank, which he joined in 1972, with global\nresponsibility for the bank's financial institution clients.\n\nDuring his career at Barclays, Mr Wilson has held a variety of senior management\npositions, both in the UK and abroad, responsible for major corporate and\ninstitutional clients. He has several external interests including appointments\nin the educational field.\n\nCommenting on the appointment, Nigel Newton, Chairman of Bloomsbury said:\n\n'Jeremy Wilson brings considerable experience to our board and we expect to\nbenefit particularly from his City and banking background. Given his career at\nBarclays, he has a strong understanding of the requirements of a growing\nbusiness and wide international contacts.'\n\nMr Wilson brings the number of Bloomsbury non-executive directors to four, out\nof a total board of seven.
