[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 7595Y Forbidden Technologies PLC 09 September 2009 \n \n9 September 2009\n\n\nForbidden Technologies plc\n\n('Forbidden' or 'the Company')\n\nLaunch of FORscene Server\n \nForbidden Technologies is pleased to announce the launch of FORscene Server. FORscene Server offers dedicated local access to much of the functionality that the FORscene Cloud Servers provide\nover the web.\nFORscene Server features include:\n\n\n\nLocal caching of video downloads - video for logging, editing and review need only be transferred over the internet once\n\n\nVideo is immediately accessible over a Local Area Network (LAN) during upload - local users with slow internet connections can start work straight away\n\n\nComprehensive remote access during upload - any video can be accessed remotely at any time\n\n\nOne FORscene Server per location - local users all benefit by accessing video material at LAN speeds\n\n\n\nFORscene Server allows a production company with a large number of local editors, loggers and reviewers, on multiple productions, to use FORscene over its existing internet infrastructure. On location, productions with poor internet connections benefit from both fast local and remote access. Facilities houses can provide the advantages of both local and remote access through FORscene to multiple clients. \n\nNews broadcasters and newspapers creating video for their websites benefit from editors, located in central newsrooms, having control over material being uploaded from the field - in both browse and broadcast quality.\n\nThe complete Linux system and the Mac FORscene Server software will be in use and on show at the IBC2009 exhibition in Amsterdam between the 11th and 15th of September 2009 on stand 7.A08.\n\nGreg Hirst, Business Development Director of Forbidden Technologies, said: 'The FORscene Server broadens the range of network topologies that we can offer clients, allowing us to provide solutions suited to their individual needs and infrastructure.\n\n'We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Forbidden Stand at IBC2009.'\n\n--ENDS--\n\n\nFor further information please visit www.forbidden.co.uk or contact:\n\nForbidden Technologies plc ...
