[{"type":"text","content":"\n Forbidden Technologies PLC\n09 December 2005\n\n\nForbidden Technologies plc\n\nWins Royal Television Society Technology Award\n\n\nVideo streaming and editing specialist Forbidden Technologies plc, is delighted\nto have won the Royal Television Society Award for Technology in the Post\nProduction Process, at last night's ceremony at BAFTA in London.\n\nForbidden's flagship product, FORscene is a 'pay-as-you-go' web-based tool for\nvideo post production, (logging, editing, browsing and publishing) for\nbroadcast, Internet and mobile video. Its Java design allows modern PCs, Macs\nand Linux machines to use FORscene without any software installation or hardware\nupgrades. Its interface is designed to be intuitive, responsive, reliable and\naccessible anywhere, anytime.\n\nFORscene has been used by major broadcast and production companies including\nGMTV, Mentorn and Granada. Forbidden Technologies has a reseller partnership\nwith Nats Post Production the large, independent, well-respected provider of\npost-production facilities.\n\nThe RTS Technology Awards, which are the 'gold standard of achievement in the\ntelevision community', seek to recognise excellence in technological activities\nfrom 'scene-to-screen and back'. The award for Technology in the Post Production\nProcess was presented by Stephen Cole, Presenter, BBC World. This award is for\nproducts which have done the most to improve the processes between original\ncreation or capture of new content, or the restoration of previously-captured\ncontent, and the storage of completed content prior to delivery to the user.\n\nVic Steel, Chairman of Forbidden Technologies, said today:\n\n'It is particularly appropriate that FORscene should have been given such a\nprestigious award.
