October 19, 2011 - La Quinta Resources Corporation (TSX-V: LAQ / Frankfurt: LQK) (\"La Quinta\" or \"The Company\") is pleased to report that it received preliminary 2D inversion modeling of data for the Induced Polarization (\"IP\") survey conducted at the Carruthers Pass (British Columbia) project during September 2011.\n\n\n \nApproximately 1.6 km pole-dipole IP was completed on surface at the Carruthers Pass project. Additionally, 270 m downhole IP was surveyed in a diamond drillhole 2011-13 (\"11-13\"); approximately 560 m directional arrays were extended orthogonally at surface away from the drillhole. Results from the directional arrays indicated two apparent target areas for the 2012 drill program. The first target lies NE of 11-13, at an approximate depth of 65 m and within 135 m of the drill collar. The responder has a resistivity less than 10 ohm-m, consistent with the response of a solid metallic body. The zone appears to be at least 4 m thick. The second target lies NW of 11-13, at approximate depths of 88-108 m and within 76 m of the drill collar. Resistivities in this zone range 150 - 500 ohm-m in background 1,000 - 3,500 ohm-m, with chargeabilities 40-80 mV/V in background of 10-20 mV/V. Both responses are consistent with disseminated sulfide mineralization lying NW of the drill collar. The Company anticipates drilling these two targets during the 2012 field season.\n\n\n \nA 3D model of the results is being prepared currently by Scott Geophysics. Targeting for the 2012 drill program may be refined further pending recommendations and review of that 3D model.\n\n\n \nThe information contained in this news release has been reviewed, approved and deemed relevant by Walter Martin, the Company's President, C.P.G., a qualified person as defined under Standards for Disclosure of Mineral Projects (National Instrument 43-101).\n\n\n \nAbout La Quinta Resources Corporation\n\n\n \nLa Quinta is a junior precious metals exploration company actively seeking mineral opportunities for the benefit of our stakeholders. Currently the Company is focused on exploring for gold and silver on the Easter Project and on its Black Jack properties in Nevada. The Easter Project is underlain by an epith...
