About TNI BioTech
TNI BioTech,Inc. is a biotechnology company researching new treatments and methods fortreatment of cancer, HIV/AIDS, and certain other autoimmune and infectiousdiseases. One of the approaches is based on patent rights obtained fromNicholas P. Plotnikoff who has conducted specialized research activitiesdirected toward the study of cytokines, which are hormones naturally producedby the immune system. The primary cytokine, among many others currently beingstudied by TNI, is methionine enkephalin (“MENK”). MENK, in both non-humanstudies and human clinical trials, has been shown to stimulate the immunesystem.
Management believes that animmune system stimulator, such as MENK, is of tremendous value to medicinegiven that many diseases lower the body’s immune response and cause a lack ofresistance to the progress of the disease.
However, even thoughManagement considers any condition that results in altered-immune response atarget for investigation, the Company will most likely pursue additionalinvestigations for MENK as a valuable candidate in the treatment of thefollowing:
· Autoimmune states such asrheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis;
· As an adjunct toantibiotics in the treatment of infectious diseases;
· In patients undergoingchemotherapy, radiation treatments or surgery; and
· In wound healing, herpesviral infections, and in treatment for the elderly.
