(Nasdaq: BCRX) today announced that it has received early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended (the “HSR Act”), with respect to BioCryst’s proposed acquisition of Astria Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Merger”). Termination of the waiting period under the HSR Act satisfied one of the conditions for consummation of the Merger. BioCryst expects the Merger to close in the first quarter of 2026, subject to other customary closing conditions.
