(OTCQB:BIOAF; TSX.V:BTI) today announced the \n voting results from its Annual General Meeting held on Sept. 21, 2017 in \n Vancouver, British Columbia. The total number of shares represented in \n person or by proxy at the meeting was 17,212,451, representing 33.45% of \n the total issued and outstanding biOasis shares.\n \n \n All directors nominated by management were approved, including new \n members Nancy Stagliano, Ph.D., Deborah Rathjen, Ph.D., and Maha \n Radhakrishnan, M.D. as well as returning members Rob Hutchison \n (Chairman, founder and former chief executive officer), Mark Day, Ph.D. \n (CEO), Ron Erickson and Michael Hutchison, QC. Messrs. Gubitz, Pearson \n and Fibiger were not nominated for re-election to the board at the AGM. \n The Company wishes to thank Messrs. Gubitz, Pearson and Fibiger for \n their efforts on behalf of the Company. As previously announced, Michael \n Hutchison will step down from the board in October and Rob Hutchison \n will retire from the company on Dec. 31, 2017.\n \n \n In addition to the new board slate, the shareholders approved the option \n and restricted stock unit (RSU) plans.\n \n \n Election of Directors\n \n \n All seven (7) candidates nominated for election to the biOasis Board of \n Directors and listed in the Company's Management Information Circular, \n dated Aug. 21, 2017, were elected by a majority of the shareholders \n present in person or represented by proxy at the meeting.\n \n \n Compensation Committee\n \n \n Nancy Stagliano, Ph.D. (chair), Deborah Rathjen, Ph.D. and Mark Day, \n Ph.D. have been appointed to the Compensation, Governance and Nominating \n Committee.\n \n \n Audit Committee\n \n \n Deborah Rathjen, Ph.D. (chair), Mahalakshmi Radakrishnan, M.D. and \n Ronald Erickson have been appointed members of the Audit Committee.\n \n \n Appointment of Auditors\n \n \n biOasis also announced today that its shareholders have approved the \n re-appointment of Manning Elliott LLP, Accountants and Business Advisors \n as the Auditor of biOasis to hold office until the next annual meeting \n of shareholders.\n \n \n About biOasis\n \n \n biOasis Technologies Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on \n overcoming the limitations of therapeutic drug delivery across the \n blood-brain barrier (BBB).
