Dr. Saltarelli \n served on Bioasis’ scientific advisory board (SAB) since June 2018.\n \n \n “I am delighted to welcome Mario as the non-executive director of the \n Bioasis board. With a proven track record of building successful \n pipelines and programs, he brings to our board his broad leadership \n experience across multiple aspects of drug discovery and clinical \n development, with a focus in diseases of the central nervous system,” \n said Deborah Rathjen, Ph.D., Executive Chair and President & Chief \n Executive Officer of Bioasis. “We look forward to continuing to benefit \n from Mario’s expertise as we advance our xB3 programs toward \n the clinic.”\n \n \n Dr. Saltarelli has over 20 years of leadership experience in the \n biopharmaceutical industry. Currently, he is Chief Medical Officer (CMO) \n at Entrada Therapeutics, and held CMO positions at Syntimmune and \n Annexon Biosciences. He previously held executive leadership positions \n at Vertex, Mallinckrodt, Shire, AbbVie, and Pfizer. Prior to entering \n the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Saltarelli was an Assistant Professor \n of Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. \n Saltarelli holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins \n University School of Medicine in Baltimore and also completed his \n neurology residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
