On June 4th, at Calgary's Theatre Junction Grand, 3 Canadian film makers will walk away with cash prizing among the highest payouts in North America for a short film, plus the coveted Eddies award. Not to mention, with the freshest craft beer and cider on ice for the event, it's going to be one heck of a party!\n\nThis year marks the 23rd year that Big Rock Brewery has hosted the Eddies, and it will be the 2nd year the brewery is focusing on short films. Big Rock continues to partner with Calgary Underground Film Festival and Calgary International Film Festival to promote the event and show the winning shorts at their respective festivals. Funds raised will be going back to support the Canadian film community via honorariums to CIFF and CUFF.\n\n2016 Eddies Judges:\n\n\nBrenda Lieberman: Calgary Underground Film Festival, Festival Director \nSteve Schroeder: Calgary International Film Festival, Executive Director \nMike Morrison: Mike's Bloggity Blog, Canadian entertainment blogger. \nChad Oakes: Emmy Award winning Calgary Producer, Nomadic Pictures. Hell on Wheels, Fargo, currently shooting Van Helsing in Vancouver. \nJamie M. Dagg: Canadian Director, Writer, Feature film \"River\" debuted in 2015 at Toronto International Film Festival and Whistler Film Festival.\nThe Challenge: A nod to Big Rock founder Ed McNally, this year's submissions will be sharing their interpretation of \"Trailblazer\".
