[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 7458U Bezant Resources PLC 30 June 2009  \n \nBezant Resources Plc\n('Bezant' or the 'Company')\n\nMetallurgical Testwork Results from AMMTEC Laboratories\non Samples from the Mankayan Project, Philippines\n\n\nHighlights:\n\n\n\nIndependent laboratory testwork indicates 94% copper recovery.\n\n\nIndependent laboratory testwork indicates 74% gold recovery\n\n\nRecoveries in the upper range of industry experience. \n\n\n\n\nHigh-grade, copper/gold concentrates produced.\n\n\nAll impurities below penalty levels.\n\n\n\n\nConcentrates could be an attractive smelter feed.\n\n\n\nBezant (AIM: BZT), the AIM listed gold and copper exploration and development company operating in the Philippines and Tanzania, today announces metallurgical testwork results on samples from its Mankayan copper/gold Project, located 260km north of Manila in the Philippines. \n\nSamples Tested\n\nThe samples tested were selected from the diamond drill core from the inclined exploration boreholes (BC-57 an BC-58). The lithologies encountered by these holes are considered to be broadly representative of the Mankayan porphyry as a whole.  Details of the six samples tested are set out below.\n \n\n\n\n\n\nBorehole and Sample Number\n\n\nLithology\n\n\nDescription\n\n\n\n\nBC-57, 6156\n\n\nSericite Chlorite Clay (SCC)\n\n\nTypical of the main body of the porphyry, excluding the extreme upper zones.\n\n\n\n\nBC-58, 6159\n\n\n\n\nBC-57, 6155\n\n\nIntense Sericitic Overprint (ISO)\n\n\nA thin shell of material between the main body of the porphyry and the upper zone.\n\n\n\n\nBC-58, 6158\n\n\n\n\nBC-57, 6154\n\n\nAdvanced Argillic\n\n\nThe upper zone where the porphyry alteration contacts the country rock.\n\n\n\n\nBC-58, 6157\n\n\n\n\n \nThe lithology of the first two samples (6156 and 6159) is representative of the major part of the porphyry. The other samples represent relatively small portions, located in the outer margin of the porphyry where it contacts the country rock. \n\nTestwork Summary and Interpretation\n\nExcellent results were obtained from samples 6156 and 6159, representing the bulk of the porphyry mineralisation. The testwork indicates that copper and gold recoveries of around 94% and 74% respectively can be anticipated...
