[{"type":"text","content":"\n Beowulf Mining PLC\n13 September 2006\n\n\n PRESS RELEASE\n\n BEOWULF MINING REPORTS\n\n\nHIGH GRADE GOLD OVER SUBSTANTIAL WIDTHS FROM LATEST DRILLING AT GRUNDTRASK GOLD\n PROSPECT, NORTHERN SWEDEN.\n\n MINERALISATION PRESENT OVER 750 METRES OF STRIKE LENGTH AND OPEN AT BOTH ENDS\n AND AT DEPTH\n\n\nLondon 13 September: Beowulf Mining PLC (AIM:BEM), the AIM quoted mineral\nexploration company is pleased to announce that analytical results have been\nreceived from the latest diamond drilling programme on the company's 100% owned\nGrundtrask gold project in the Skellefte Mining District, N. Sweden. The drill\nprogramme tested the southern extension of the 'Central Gold Zone' where higher\ngold grades were noted from previous drilling in 2005 by Beowulf.\n\n\nFour inclined drill holes for a total of 265 metres were drilled.\n\nThe latest drilling has revealed higher gold assays than previous intersections\nobtained from 2003-2005. Several meter-sections displaying gold grades of more\nthan four grams per tonne ('g/t') were obtained, and the highest gold assay of\n12.67 g/t over 1.20 m is recorded in a magnetite rich section of drill hole\n06-002. This high-grade sample occurs within a 27.50m section of continuous gold\nmineralisation for 27.50 m (between 5.80-33.30m) with an average grade of 2.05 g\n/t.\n\nSimilar high grade gold grades are noted in drill hole 06-003 with 2.06 g/t\nobtained over 27.10 metres (from 10.10 to 37.20m).\n\nCombined with results of earlier drilling by Beowulf the mineralised structure\ndefined as 'The Central Gold Zone' can now be traced over a strike length of 750\nmetres, with an average width of 25 metres. The mineralisation is open at both\nends and at depth.\n\nIn order to verify the extent of the gold mineralisation both in length and\nwidth, the company is planning to carry out further drilling on the indicated\nextensions at both ends of the Central Zone Gold Mineralisation.\n\nDetails of all drill holes are given in table 1 below. The drill core samples\nhave been assayed for gold by Fire Assay techniques and additional metal\nelements by ICP at the ALS/Chemex Laboratory in Vancouver. Analysis of the\nsamples involved analysis of blank, duplicate and random duplicate samples.\n\nCommenting on the results Dr. Jan-Ola Larsson, Beowulf's Technical Director,\nstated that 'The drilling has encount...
