BEOWULF MINING plc
Amendment to the Copper gold deposit acquired announcement, RNS number 2407M,
released on 12 May at 14:35. Please note that the second paragraph should read
0.25 grams per tonne of gold rather than 0.25% gold.
Beowulf Mining acquires undeveloped copper gold deposit in northern Sweden.
The area has many signatures of an Olympic Dam type deposit.
Beowulf Mining plc ('Beowulf') has been awarded two claims - Ballek 2 and 3,
which cover 76 square kilometres in the Arjeplog County of northern Sweden, some
100 km's south west of Beowulf's Jokkmokk properties.
The Ballek claims contain the copper gold Lulepotten deposit, which was drilled
between 1960-71 by the Geological Survey of Sweden, who estimated the deposit
contained 5.1 million tonnes of 0.73% copper, 0.25 grams per tonne of gold and 7
grams per tonne of silver. This resource estimate is historical and does not
conform to the Canadian NI 34-101 or Australian JORC resource definitions.
The Lulepotten deposit is only one of several copper gold zones in the Ballek
area. The zones contain sulphide mineralisation composed of chalcopyrite,
bornite, chalcoite with abundant iron oxides.
All the deposits overlie a gravity anomaly of almost the same magnitude and area
as the Olympic Dam deposit in Australia. The area of the gravity anomaly is
associated with cross cutting high magnetic anomalies.
Maps of the claims are shown on www.beowulfmining.com
