(ASX:MQR) has completed the first two holes of a planned 42 hole,\n5,800 meter drill program on the Lone Star copper-gold project in\nWashington State.\n \n \n \n \n George Sookochoff, President & CEO commented,\n“With the drill now operating 24/7, and will continue to do so\nthroughout winter, we are well underway in achieving our goal of\nestablishing a potential commercial mining operation at the Lone Star\nproject within two years.”\n \n \n \n \n Drill holes LS21-01 and LS21-02 have now been completed\nand the drill samples are being prepared for shipment to MSALABS in\nLangley B.C., for analysis.\n \n \n \n \n The objective of the drill program is\nto:\n \n \n \n \n 1) Confirm grade, width and tenor of mineralisation to\nthat of the 252 historical drill holes.\n \n \n \n \n 2) Achieve a drill hole spacing that is appropriate\nfor:\n \n \n \n \n a) advancing the 2007 historic inferred mineral\nresource to a current indicated resource category.\n \n \n \n \n b) producing a Preliminary Economic Assessment\n(“PEA”) after which a decision may be made\n \n to move the project into production.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Click Image To View Full Size\n \n \n \n Hole LS21-001\n \n \n was drilled to verify the existence of two separate\nmineralized zones on the Lone Star Property. That hole successfully\nintersected 100+ meters of significant sulfide mineralization in the\nupper zone, consisting primarily of pyrite with lesser chalcopyrite\nand traces of molybdenite hosted primarily by an altered intrusive\nwhich has been referred to as “dacite” in the district by many\nprevious operators. A second, lower zone of similar sulfide\nmineralization hosted primarily by serpentinite was also intersected\nbefore the hole was terminated. The upper and lower zones are commonly\nseparated by 40-60 meters according to previous studies. Both\nmineralized zones were historic targets on the property.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ...
