Hosted by the Municipality of\nSaint-Simon-les-Mines, the event celebrated the town’s mining\nheritage and the revitalization of the community's historical\nlandmarks.\n \n\n\n\n As part of its commitment to preserving local heritage,\nBGF made a symbolic donation to the municipality, consisting of a\ntwo-foot-long spud iron box-end wrench—an artifact likely used to\ntighten the hexagonal nuts on the historic dredge. The tool was\ndiscovered on the Company’s Beauce property near the site of the\nformer dredging operations.
