[{"type":"text","content":" Baru Gold Announces Director Resignation and Provides Update on Filed Appeal\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Vancouver, BC –\n \n \n TheNewswire –\nJune 28, 2022 -\n \n \n Baru Gold Corp (the\n“Company” or “Baru”)\n \n \n (\n \n \n TSXV:\n \n \n BARU)\n \n \n (\n \n \n OTC:\n \n \n BARUF)\n \n \n announces that\nMr. Gerhardus Kielenstyn has resigned as a Director of Baru Gold and\nas Chief Operating Officer of the Company’s subsidiary PT Tambang\nMas Sangihe (“TMS”) effective immediately. Mr. Jiriel Kumajas,\nDirector of General Administration of the TMS Project, will replace\nMr. Kielenstyn as Interim Chief Operating Officer of TMS until a\npermanent replacement is found.\n \n \n \n \n The Company also wishes to provide an update on the\nappeal of a lawsuit\n \n \n filed in Manado, Indonesia\n \n \n in August of 2021,\n \n \n against\ntwo government departments which issued a permit to\n \n \n Baru’s subsidiary, PT Tambang Mas Sangihe\n(“TMS”).\n \n \n \n On October 12, 2021, a lawsuit was filed against the North Sulawesi\nProvince Government Head of Investment and One Stop Integrated\nServices of North Sulawesi as Defendant I and Head of Environmental\nDepartment of North Sulawesi as Defendant II. The lawsuit pertained to\nthe issuance of the Environmental Permit (“AMDAL”) to TMS  in\nAugust of 2020. While Baru was not named in the lawsuit, the court\ngranted permission for a representative of Baru to attend the\nproceedings in support of the government departments.\n \n \n \n On June 3, 2022, judgement was issued in favor of the\nplaintiff. From the Company’s perspective, the judgement was based\non undefined procedural requirements, testimony of an expert not\nqualified to prepare an AMDAL report and an administrative oversight\nsince corrected in a document that is in excess of 1,000 pages. TMS\nhas already filed an appeal with the State Administrative High Court\n(“PTTUN”) in Makassar and that process is expected to take three\nto five months to reach a verdict.\n \n \n \n \n The AMDAL permit was used to obtain the upgraded\nconstruction/operation permit.
