(TSX\nVENTURE:IIE) ("Iciena" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it\nentered into an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in a 63,000-hectare claim\nblock north of Cuiaba, Brazil, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval. The\nacquisition of 100% interest in these claims brings Iciena's 100%-owned claim\nblock to 200,000 hectares (the "Brazilian Project").\n\n\nThe Company is also pleased to announce the results of the stream samples\nfrom the Brazilian Project. Of the 39 samples collected, 13 samples contained\ndiamond indicator minerals and one sample contained a diamond. The samples\nindicate that the source kimberlites have eclogitic and lherzolitic diamond\npopulations. The pristine angular to slightly worn surface textures of the\nmajority of the diamond inclusion grains testify to the proximity of the\nsource.\n\n\nSignificantly, 14 diamond inclusion chrome diopsides were also contained\nwithin the samples. The importance of the chrome diopsides is two-fold. First,\nchrome diopsides are prone to weathering in the tropical conditions present in\nthe field area. Chrome diopsides do not typically persist for distances\ngreater than five kilometres from source. The near-pristine surface textures\nof the chrome diopsides suggest a primary source far closer than five\nkilometres. Second, proprietary techniques developed at C.F. Mineral Research\nLtd., where the samples were processed, indicate that 13 of the 14 chrome\ndiopsides have compositions consistent with those known to have grown with\nlarge diamonds.\n\n\nIciena also reports that additional work is progressing on the claims\nunder the direction of Dr. Charles Fipke. Heavy mineral samples have been\ncollected to follow up on previously discovered diamond indicator grains and\nto provide full sample coverage of the claim block. 147 heavy mineral samples\nhave already arrived at C.F. Mineral Research Ltd. and their results are\nexpected shortly. In addition samples from 15 known kimberlite pipes located\non the property have been collected and sent to C.F. Minerals for processing.\nThese 100 to 300 kg samples are mostly from unsampled or insufficiently\nsampled kimberlites and will be analysed for indicator minerals and diamonds.\n\n\nThe reader is cautioned t...
