Banco Comercial Portugues S.A. 22 December 1999 BANCO COMERCIAL PORTUGUES ACQUIRES BSCH'S STAKE IN LEASEFACTOR, SGPS Lisbon, 22 December, 1999: Banco Comercial Portugues Group announced today that it has acquired the shares it did not own in Leasefactor SGPS - Portugal's largest leasing and factoring operator - from Banco Santander Central Hispano for 73.6 million Euro. Leasefactor SGPS, with total assets of 1,717 million Euro, leads the industry with market shares of 24.5% and 40.3% in leasing and factoring, respectively, having reported 5.2 million Euro in Net Income for the first nine months in 1999.
