[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 5394N Babcock International Group PLC 29 July 2014 \n \n\n29 July 2014\n \n \nBabcock International Group PLC (Babcock or the Group)\nBoard changes\n \nBabcock, the UK's leading engineering support services company, announces the following changes to the Board with effect from 1 August 2014. \n \nBill Tame, who has been Group Finance Director since January 2002, has been appointed as Chief Executive of the Group's enlarged International division. Bill will take over responsibility for the South African operations and the Avincis Group, as well as the Group's business development activities in the Middle East. Bill will continue to be an Executive Director of the Group. \n \nFranco Martinelli has been appointed as Group Finance Director and will join the Board of Babcock as an Executive Director. Franco has been the Group's Financial Controller working alongside Bill Tame for the past 12 years. \n \nMike Turner, Chairman commented:\n\"I am pleased to announce these appointments which highlight the strength of Babcock's senior management team and the robust succession planning processes we have in place. Bill will provide strong leadership for the International division. Franco has a depth of knowledge of the financial management of the Group and will provide continuity and effective management across all areas of the Group's finance function and I look forward to welcoming him to the Board.\"\n \nPeter Rogers, Group Chief Executive, commented:\n\"For the past 12 years Bill has provided excellent financial leadership for the Group as it has grown and developed. I look forward to continuing to work with him as he progresses the significant opportunities for the enlarged International division and the Group following the Avincis acquisition.
