[{"type":"text","content":"Azimut Confirms Extensive High-Grade Lithium Surface Discovery on Wabamisk East Property, James Bay Region, QuebecMechanical Stripping Exposes Multi-Kilometre-Scale Lithium Pegmatite Field\n\n\n\n LONGUEUIL, Quebec, Oct. 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --\n \n Azimut Exploration Inc.\n \n (“Azimut” or the “Company”) (\n \n TSXV: AZM\n \n ) (\n \n OTCQX: AZMTF\n \n ) is pleased to announce positive results from a systematic field program conducted this summer on its\n \n Wabamisk East Property\n \n (the “Property”) in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec (\n \n see Figures 1 to 6, Photos 1 to 4\n \n ).\n \n\n Wabamisk East is part of a revised option agreement with\n \n Rio Tinto Exploration Canada Inc.\n \n (“Rio Tinto”), which consolidates previous option agreements announced in 2023 (\n \n see\n \n\n press releases dated\n \n\n July 24, 2025\n \n\n\n i\n \n\n and\n \n July 10, 2023\n \n\n ii\n \n ) whereby Rio Tinto has the option to earn up to a 70% interest by spending $85 million. Azimut is the operator during the first phase of the revised agreement (see section below). The project is reaching the drilling stage and Azimut will propose to Rio Tinto an aggressive program for early 2026.\n \n\n Azimut is concurrently advancing two other discoveries on the adjacent\n \n Wabamisk Property\n \n : the Fortin Antimony-Gold Zone and the Rosa Gold Zone (\n \n see press releases dated\n \n\n July 9, 2025\n \n\n\n iii\n \n\n , and\n \n September 29, 2025\n \n\n\n iv\n \n\n ).\n \n\n\n Salient Results\n \n\n\n\n\n Systematic field reconnaissance conducted this summer uncovered a large-scale system of spodumene pegmatites,\n \n which remains open in all directions. There is good potential for additional discoveries of spodumene pegmatites under cover. Mechanical stripping currently underway is expanding the known footprint of these pegmatitic bodies, as well as revealing many additional near surface spodumene pegmatites within a\n \n minimum 4 km\n \n\n\n 2\n \n\n\n prospective surface area\n \n in four distinct sectors (\n \n see Figures 3 to 6\n \n ).
