[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 3010M Avon Rubber PLC 07 January 2019 \n\n7 January 2019\nAVON RUBBER p.l.c.\nU.S. Department of Defense M69 Aircrew Mask Contract\nAvon Rubber p.l.c. is pleased to announce that Avon Protection has been awarded a sole source contract to supply the U.S. Department of Defense (\"DoD\") with the M69 Joint Service Aircrew Mask for Strategic Aircraft, related accessories and engineering support. The contract has a maximum value of $92.7million over a duration of up to seven years, being a five-year base period plus two further one-year option periods. \nAvon Protection anticipates receiving the first order under this contract shortly with deliveries expected to commence in the second half of the current financial year. As outlined in our 2018 results announcement, the first order will contribute to our expected Military revenues for the 2019 financial year.\nCommenting, Paul McDonald, Chief Executive Officer, said:\n\"I am delighted to announce this contract award which, following a collaborative development programme with the DoD, brings the M69 Aircrew Mask into production.
