(\"Avon\", the \"Group\" or the \"Company\")\n \n \n2013 Year end - Pre close trading update\n \n \nStrong fourth quarter trading in the Protection & Defence division is expected to raise Group full year adjusted operating profit (*) ahead of current market expectations. The main contributors to this expected improvement were additional non-US Department of Defense orders received from the UK Government and customers in the Middle East, together with a high level of operational flexibility, which allowed us to deliver product to our customers at short notice.\n \n \nDairy division trading has remained in line with market expectations in difficult trading conditions.
