President, Damon Mintz, talked with Stock Day’s Everett Jolly.\n “Innovest Global, we are what’s call a diversified conglomerate company,” Mintz started. “That simply means we acquire companies from a diversified standpoint. So, we are not singular in our industry, we represent several different industries, commercial, industrial products and services, biotechnology, construction, building materials and now our new consumer division.” He went on to explain they most importantly help the companies that they own grow and reach their fullest potential. By doing that he says they add value to their shareholders through revenue, earnings, and assets. “We also provide that risk mitigation factor, where by being diversified in multiple industries, if there is a downturn in any one, our company is not affected like companies in that industry if they are singular,” explained Mintz. Jolly then mentioned that a year ago Mintz’s company Shepheard Energy Solutions was acquired by Innovest Global. Now he’s the president of Innovest. Jolly asked how the journey has been. Mintz said it’s been quite a year. “I immediately took on a role in early ‘18 to help Innovest acquire companies in my space. We acquired HP Technologies, which is another energy company we own, and that helped grow the energy business,” says Mintz. “Then I led the next acquisition, long story short the role just kept kind of broadening into other divisions and by the end of 2018, I had led our acquisitions across all divisions and was working hand in hand with all those companies. So, Dan {Dan Martin, Innovest CEO} came to me, in what was a great honor and privilege and asked me what I thought about being the president of the company.” He said the job doesn’t change in terms of what the company does every day, which is building shareholder value, but the size they are today versus 12 months ago does change some of the dynamics.
