(NASDAQ: AEYE), an industry-leading software solution delivering website accessibility compliance to businesses of all sizes, has appointed Heath Thompson as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 23, 2020. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \nThompson assumes the role from Executive Chairman Carr Bettis, who had been serving in the chief executive role during the transition period and will continue to serve as Executive Chairman going forward. Thompson will primarily operate out of the Company's Atlanta offices, where the AudioEye development, product and engineering teams are stationed. \nThompson brings nearly three decades of leadership and engineering experience at organizations ranging from start-ups to large global corporations with a deep background in SaaS and software product businesses. Most recently, he comes to AudioEye from cybersecurity leader SANS, where he was General Manager (GM) of the Security Awareness business. Prior to SANS, he was with Forcepoint, the leader in human-centric cybersecurity, where he held a variety of management-level roles including Senior Vice President (SVP) positions in Products, User and Data Security, Enterprise Security, and most recently, Corporate Development, Business Development & Strategy. \nPrior to his time at Forcepoint, Thompson was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and SVP at Landis+Gyr, a leading global provider of integrated energy management solutions for the utility sector. Before that, he served as VP of Engineering for Internet Security Systems (ISS), which was acquired by IBM in 2006. At IBM, Thompson was responsible for research and development of all software, hardware, and SaaS/service product solutions within the ISS business unit. Thompson has also held key roles at various other organizations, including American Systems Corp and Attachmate.
